🧩 Installation
PIA is a Chrome extension that replaces your new tab page with a personal intelligent dashboard. Installation takes less than 2 minutes.

PIA uses a personal account so your bookmarks are safely stored and synchronized.

🏠 The dashboard
The dashboard is your personal start page that appears every time you open a new tab. It consists of several sections.
➕ Add a bookmark
There are multiple ways to add a bookmark to PIA.
Via the + button in the dashboard
Click the + Add button in the sidebar or at the top of the dashboard. Enter the URL and let AI automatically fill in the other fields, or fill them in yourself.
Via the address bar button
When visiting a website, click the PIA icon in the Chrome toolbar to save the current page directly.

🖱️ Right-click save
The fastest way to save a bookmark is via the right-click menu.
🔍 Search & filter
PIA makes it easy to find bookmarks again via powerful search and filter functions.
Search bar
The search bar at the top searches simultaneously through title, summary, tags, URL and notes. Just start typing — results appear immediately.
Filter by tags
Click a tag in the sidebar to show all bookmarks with that tag. Popular tags are shown at the top. Click "All tags" for a complete overview.
Sorting
You can sort bookmarks by date added, quality score, reading time or alphabetically by title.
📄 Detail page
Click a bookmark to open the full detail page. Here you'll find all AI-generated information.
✏️ Editing bookmarks
You can edit all fields of a bookmark at any time. Click the edit icon (pencil) on a bookmark card or on the detail page.
🧠 AI Summary
PIA automatically generates a summary for every bookmark you save. The summary is based on the actual content of the page — not just the title or description.
The summary includes: a concise description of the content, the main points, target audience, and whether the content is still current.
🔗 Knowledge Chains
Knowledge Chains are one of PIA's most powerful features. Ask any follow-up question about the content of a bookmark and PIA will answer based on the page.
📊 AI Report
Generate a complete AI report for any bookmark with one click. The report contains a professional analysis with charts, key takeaways, and actionable insights.
🔭 AI Discovery
AI Discovery finds the best sources on a topic for you automatically — without you having to search manually.
📰 News
PIA shows daily curated news via Perplexity AI. The news is filtered by relevance and quality.
Click "News" in the sidebar to open the news feed. You'll see articles by category — tech, finance, design and more. Each article has a short AI summary so you can quickly assess whether it's worth reading.
📚 Knowledge Bank & Knowledge Map
The Knowledge Bank section in the dashboard has two tabs: Reports and Knowledge Map.
Reports tab
Here you'll find all the AI reports you've generated. You can sort reports by date or name, and delete them if needed.
Knowledge Map tab
The Knowledge Map is an interactive network of all your bookmarks, organized by tag clusters. It gives you a visual overview of your knowledge areas.
🧹 Collection Health
Via Manage → Collection Health in the sidebar you can monitor and improve the quality of your bookmark collection.

📦 Import & Export
PIA supports importing and exporting bookmarks in various formats.
Importing
Go to Manage → Import. You can import bookmarks from:
- 📄 HTML export from Chrome/Firefox bookmarks
- 📄 CSV files
- 📄 JSON export from PIA itself
Exporting
Go to Manage → Export to export your collection as JSON or CSV. Useful as a backup or for transferring to another device.
⚙️ Settings
Open your profile via the avatar at the bottom of the sidebar to open settings.
